Abstract

Female therapists seem less comfortable - in supervision groups, publications, and conference contributions - sharing their experience in working with male patient's sexuality as compared to the corresponding male therapists' comfort. And obviously,m if there is discomfort in the sharing, there is discomfort in the work. This discomfort restrains and limits the use of the therapist's self and, in turn, limits the outcome of the treatment. This workshop was primarily a discussion group, designed to facilitate sharing of experience and ideas, and only open to female therapists as participants. Male therapists attended as listeners.
