Article title : A case example of functional relaxation.

Presents a case example of functional relaxation therapy with a 55 yr old female inpatient whose primary symptom was severe difficulty in swallowing. In this case, a single session of functional relaxation achieved a dramatic improvement in the patient's hysterical symptom and general condition. Speculations concerning the reasons for the effectiveness of the therapy session are discussed.
